Everything Matters

This is a blog that will deal with media with an emphasis on the future media landscape. So I know exactly what I should write about: Ron Currie, Jr. A man who undoubtedly belongs to the future, where furthermore, he’ll play an important role (how and where we have yet to see).

Ron Currie, Jr. was born in 1975 in Maine in the U.S. After school he began working as a cook in restaurants of a less notable variety. When he had the energy evenings and nights, he wrote, and maybe this was why he began with short stories – a format that allows you to start and finish without losing the thread in the middle. His first book was released in 2007, a short story collection called God Is Dead. But the reason I call Ron Currie, Jr. a man of the future is because of his 2009 debut novel: Everything Matters!

For readers who have tired of the same old boring gray; for those who have read so much that they appreciate an unexpected and sophisticated story structure; for those who want to laugh, cry, swear and above all feel upset because for every page they read, there is one less page left: Buy Everything Matters! Although lacking Scandinavian gloom, dull relentless and numbing sameness in the book, this novel is about a faith, hope and love more fantastic and magnificent than… the faith, hope and love in other stories.

I’ve seen the future of the media landscape and there, under an apple tree, he sits. Ron.
